They also lacked knowledge about the possibility of loss of confidentiality with electronic files. The interviews showed that the patients lacked understanding about the computer's functions. The conversation often changed when the computer was used. It could also be a referral to a 'magic box'. Use of the computer could be identified as a way of obtaining 'time-out' in the consultation. The study showed that the computer was sometimes used in a way that was not originally intended. On separate occasions the five GPs and 12 of the previously video-taped patients watched and commented on the video recordings of their own consultation. Thirty-nine video-taped consultations with five different GPs were analysed inductively, inspired by the principles of 'grounded theory'. The aim of this study was to identify common patterns in the use of desk-top computers by GPs with regard to interaction with the patients, and to assess the GPs' and patients' perceptions of the use of the computer. There has been concern about effects on doctor-patient communication. I work from home, so the LTE is useful for rare occasions when Comcast would go down after a storm, or some idiot smashes down the pole with the lines. The use of computers in general practice is becoming increasingly common. Even my friends with Verizon also get crappy reception at my home, so Magic Box was perfect solution to my problem. When I drive down to the city level the signal is good, but specifically at my house it is bad. My house is located in a neighborhood on top of a wide hill and my house is on the eastern edge of it, but most towers are to west and at lower elevation of my location where the population density is larger, so no clear line of sight with the trees and the hill itself in the way. I do get decent Band 2 at one bedroom upstairs, but anywhere else in the house the signal fluctuates constantly, and can cut out on first floor. WiFi backhaul is kind of useless when WiFi Calling is available on my devices, but I mainly got the Magic Box to improve the LTE service at home. I will give support line a call just to make sure. My guess is it's because they switched the Band 41 to 5G use. Moving it around didn't help, because it went down shortly after an email went out about switching it to WiFi backhaul. In terms of CINR: 0-5 = terrible, 5-10 = middling, 10+ = good. For example: You can have a -90s RSRP signal (great) but a 1.0 CINR (terrible) and have poor performance. Note: Magic Box performance can be affected by a number of factors including: What LTE Band (Band 25/Band 41) it's picking up from the Donor Site How congested the Site is and the actual signal quality aka CINR. See this YouTube Video in which Günther Ottendorfer (Former COO, Technology) explains how the Magic Box works. A CDMA VoiceAmp module is available which plugs into the ethernet port on the Magic Box to provide voice coverage. Note: Voice coverage through VoLTE is in the process of being rolled out. The Magic Box is a self-optimizing and self-configuring small cell which requires no customer premise backhaul. Have questions about Sprint's Magic Box and how to get one? See here.
